Burgundy – Hautes Côtes de Beaune
Pinot Noir
Presents a garnet-red color, with bright red hues. The nose expresses notes of black currants, heady red roses, cherries, strawberries, licorice, shades of blueberry, iris, violet and pepper. The palate is fresh, more or less robust, marked by a marly minerality, which gives crisp tannins and fruity volume, relayed by a saline finish and enhanced by aromas of cherry and licorice.
Can be enjoyed as an aperitif and also goes well with pork, lamb, duck, poultry, coq au vin, eggs, grilled meats, grilled or leg of lamb, veal, stuffed cabbage, sweet curry, quail and more. The best cheese to pair this wine with includes any soft and creamy cheeses including brie, camembert, morbier and many more. You can punctuate the tasting with a soup of fresh strawberries.
Best served between 57°-61° F (14°-16 °C)
