Appellation:
Burgundy – Côteaux Bourguignons
Grape Varieties Used:
Gamay, Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes & Pairings:
This wine is a tender and fruity choice from the Côteaux Bourguignons appellation of Burgundy. It is a wine that shows that Gamay bred on good hills are proof of power and character. It has a ruby color and gives nice notes of slightly spicy red fruits on the nose. The palate is balanced and generous at the same time.
It accompanies dishes of medium aromatic strength. It is often associated with poultry, red meats, chicken, rabbit, mushrooms, as well as pasta and rice in tomato sauce with steamed vegetables. The roundness of its tannins in this unconventional red wine can even accompany fish very well.
Best Served:
Best served between 53°-57° F (11°-14 °C)

Terroir:
An infinite variety of soils, from the chalky bedrock around Joigny in the north, to the granites of southern Burgundy, through the limestone and marl. This appellation, Côteaux Bourguignons, was created in 2011.
