The taste of this Brouilly from the Beaujolais region has finesse and is adorned with a beautiful ruby red hue. This wine exudes fruity aromas dominated by strawberries and raspberries. The palate combines suppleness, flesh and finesse, and its precocity allows it to be appreciated in the spring following the harvest. Pairs well with charcuterie (delicatessen meat), red meat and most types of cheese.
Best served between 57°-59° F (14°-15 °C)
This vineyard is very complex. The first half is steep pink granite hillsides and the other half is divided between soils that consists of clay scree of the “blue stones” and the ancient alluvial deposits often composed of stony and small limestone hills.
The fruits (plums and red berries), with some mineral notes, express the bouquet of the Gamay perfectly. In general, the wines of Brouilly can be appreciated in their youth.
